The CSPPA has announced the new composition of the players' council

The CS: GO Professional Players' Organization (CSPPA), a cybersports advocacy and rules enforcement organization for the game, announced a new player council on Tuesday. Five of whose members were chosen during the organization's general meeting held this week. It also retains two of the cyber athletes who have been on it since its inception – are Chris «chrisJ» de Jong and Nathan «NBK» Schmitt.

As of January 2020, Andreas «Xyp9x» Heuslet and Jonathan «EliGe» Jablonowski were the chairman and vice chairman of the council respectively, but they decided to give up their seat to new members. According to the organization's rules, the board must be made up of current cyber athletes, which places additional demands on their already busy schedules. The council now includes representatives from teams such as Vitality, Extra Salt, OG, FunPlus Phoenix and fnatic.

The current CSPPA convention – is the first major event of its kind in the association's history. It began on Monday and will continue through Thursday so that, as organizers explain, as many players as possible can participate. All CS: GO players who have a contract with one of the professional cybersports organizations can vote for the decisions made.
