BLAST Premier World Final will be played on the new version of CS:GO

The organizers of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 tournament have confirmed that the event will use the Counter Strike: Global Offensive version with the latest update. It was released last week, and its main innovations include replacing Dust2 with Anubis in the competitive mapper, as well as reducing the magazine capacity of AWP and long-range damage of M4A1-S. The tournament, the prize fund of which is $1 million, is about three weeks away: it should start on December 14 in Abu Dhabi.

Earlier it became known that BLAST Premier Fall Final, which will start on December 23, will be held on the previous version, without the above changes. Thus, the World Final will be the first major event where spectators will have a chance to see the top teams play on Anubis.

FaZe, Natus Vincere, Vitality and Virtus.pro have already qualified for the World Final. They will be joined by the winner of the Fall Final, as well as three who will be the BLAST leader. If the fall tournament is won by someone who is already on the roster, such as FaZe or Natus Vincere, another team from the BLAST rankings will be selected for the World Finals.
