Astralis kept their chances of advancing to the next round of the majors alive with a win over GODSENT

At the end of the second day of PGL Major, Danish team Astralis managed to avoid elimination from the tournament with a convincing victory over GODSENT. Astralis had previously suffered defeats to Entropiq and Copenhagen Flames, so will now need to win two matches in a row to qualify for the Legends stage. The Brazilian GODSENT, meanwhile, became the first team to leave the tournament after three defeats against European teams that were superior to it – . In addition to Astralis, ENCE and Spirit were among them.

The first map in the confrontation between Astralis and Godsent was Nuke, and the Danes gained an overwhelming advantage on it from the very beginning: thanks largely to the efforts of Lukas «gla1ve» Rossander it won 10 rounds in a row. As a result, the teams approached the change of sides with a score of 13 – 2. In the second part of the card draw, the balance of power did not change and Astralis gave the Brazilians only one more round to win, leaving the card with a score of 16 – 3. At Vertigo, the situation was similar at first, but when the score reached 10 – 5, the Brazilians managed to tilt the game in their favor for a while. Nevertheless, Astralis still won, although not with such a crushing score as on the first map (16 – 11).
