Denmark's Astralis has announced changes to its lineup. It will be left by three players at once – Peter «dupreeh» Rasmussen, Emil «Magisk» Reif and Danny «zonic» Sørensen. At the same time, it will be joined by two cyber athletes who previously played for Complexity – are Benjamin «blameF» Bremer and Christian «k0nfig» Wieneke. At the same time blameF will have to give up the role of ingame leader, which he fulfilled in the previous team, because in Astralis this position is unconditionally occupied by gla1ve. Aleksander «ave» Holdt, who previously coached North and in the past proved himself back in Counter Strike 1.6, will be the head coach of Astralis. The new squad will appear in the next matches: Astralis will play at the BLAST Premier Fall Final at the end of November.
The contracts of dupreeh, zonic and Magisk expire at the beginning of January. Thus will end the career of the Astralis lineup, which many consider one of the most successful – it was with these players that the team repeatedly won the majors, as well as won other major trophies. Kevin Hvidt, one of the leaders of Astralis had this to say about the event: «I would like to emphasize how much respect both I and the entire organization have for Danny, Emil and Peter. They are true legends for Astralis and will always be mentioned at the forefront of our team history».
