On October 7, Astralis crashed out of the European RMR tournament after losing to forZe. Thus, the Danish team will miss a major for the first time since 2016. The Russian team defeated her in a hard-fought battle on two maps, winning first on Mirage and then on Nuke. The success of forZe became possible largely due to the efforts of twenty-year-old Alexander «shalfey» Marenov, who demonstrated a rating of 1.37 with more than fifty frags.
On the first map Astralis achieved an overwhelming advantage with a score of 13 – 4, but was unable to realize this advantage after the change of sides. Playing as Special Forces, the Russian team won 12 out of 13 rounds, leaving the map behind them with a score of 16 – 14. On Nuke Astralis managed to get a level playing field again and for a while even got a slight edge. However, in the final part of the match, forZe won several rounds in a row, again achieving a score of 16 – 14. It's worth noting that Astralis performed without Christian «k0nfig» Wieneke, who is missing the competition due to injury. His place was taken by Mikkel «MistR» Thomsen, a cyber athlete from Astralis Talent.
Now forZe has 2 losses and 2 wins on her record, which means she continues to fight for a spot in the majors. Her next test will be a matchup against the Bad News Eagles.
